Seeing Red

This weeks blog challenge was to visit each others shops in search of Red items and some really cute things were found!

I chose the color Red because of the beautiful changing leaves here in New England, but then I realized how the color Red follows us through the entire year - the Red leaves of Autumn turn into Red Christmas ornaments decorating our trees, then come the Valentines Day hearts in February and the Red stripes of the American Flag at Memorial Day and 4th of July celebrations which leads us right back into Autumn and the changing leaves.  See what I mean:)

Meet Khristen's Craft Room

This week I would like to introduce to you NECTAR Team leader, Khristen Foss.  Khristen shares her story as well as some selling tips.

Hello! My name is Khristen Foss, mother to three crazy kids (Andraia, 12; Rileigh, 10; and Patryk, 4) and wife to my amazingly supportive husband, Eryk. We live in East Rochester, NH, right on the border of Maine, in the seacoast of NH. I grew up here, residing in the Lakes Region of NH for my formative years. It is so beautiful here, with sources of natural inspiration all around me. Whether it's lakes, mountains, or beaches, we have a little of everything only a short drive away!

Meet MoonspellCrafts

Each week a member of the NECTAR Team will share his or her story - a little personal history as well as "tips of the trade".  This weeks feature Team member is the captain, Alura of MoonspellCrafts - here is her story -

My name is Alura and I grew up on Long Island. I  have lived in Florida, Texas, Colorado, England, Greece, Quebec and now, Vermont. I guess I am well traveled...lol.

I am currently married to a wonderful man from QC and between us, we have 5 grown children - he has 2 girls and I have 2 girls and a boy.  We are lucky to have met at our age.  We live in Derby Line/Stanstead. Our apartment is situated on the border! Literally!! It is a lovely area, very antiquated in architecture and it suits the eye we have for antiques.

No Child Goes Unbundled Project

Good Morning, NECTAR teammates!  I have awakened to bright sunshine and have lots planned for my day.

First on my to-do list is updating everyone on the progress of NECTAR's No Child Goes Unbundled Project.  Thirty (30) NECTAR Team members have risen to the challenge of knitting and crocheting Hats, Mittens, and Scarves for children in need across New England.  Once collected, these warm and snuggly cold weather accessories will be sent to the New England United Way head office in Boston for distribution.

Check out all the details on the NECTAR Events Page!
